A wonderful FREE site with hundreds of thousands of music, game, software and other downloads.  You can search by artist, genre, or song title with their great search engine.  Newbies: see Rebels for sweet riddim suggestions.

The best site I have seen on the roots of reggae and the Rastafarian movement.  Detailed information on the founders, lots of photos and current events, lots of culture.  If you want to understand where your favorite music came from, this is the place to find out.

A 24/7 hotspot on the main in Negril with cyber services and great food.  Lively message board and accommodation specials.  Web broadcasts.  According to the Gleaner, this is a great spot for meeting "Characters."  Well, why else would you go to Negril?

Here's where you can learn how to write patois by entering the Gleaner chat rooms, mostly populated by Jamaicans.  For all the "genuine Jamaica" news and sports, the Gleaner is the Source.  Recipes, photos, tourism too.

Self-explanatory.  Great graphics and animations, very entertaining site.  A huge resource with usable information, if you are into that sort of thing . . . of course we aren't, right?

Roots Rastas, radically wired.  This is your spot in Negril for contrasting cultures.  Bamboo and thatch bar blasting reggae riddims and tables decked out with laptops and high speed connections.  Conscious lyrics Board and a high res photo gallery. Live web broadcasts on occasion.

If you're curious how Jamaicans look at the world and each other, check it out.  For the true Jamaican perspective.  Some pretty humorous stuff in the Hottie section for you guys.

The Office of Nature in Bloody Bay, near Negril, Jamaica.  Food and drinks, art and music, massage and good conversation.  What more could you ask for? This site has heart, a heart for Jamaicans.  Good links and data on giving something back in return for all those good times.

A very informative tourism site for the rosy view with live web broadcasts, entertainment schedules for the Negril area, message board, chat room, maps, room specials, live web broadcasts, and daily photos of the Negril area.

For all the action in the midwest dancehall scene.  For every thing and every purpose there is a season . . . including cutting loose and even getting a little down and dirty now and then.  There should be a limit and the Queen seems to know where to draw the line. Good photos and info. Slick site, professional, with a music store connection.

If you don't reside in New York, Los Angeles, or Florida, you may have difficulty finding your favorite Caribbean food items in your local supermarket.  For all those delicious but hard to find favorites, check the CaribShop for reasonable prices and speedy shipping.

Great prices for reggae selections.  Wonderful Sunday afternoon live chat with a great family of chatters, nice vibes, while seeing the studio live and listening to awesome dub mixes.  The Reggae version of Total Request Live from the South of England.  Come visit Stevie Dread, Pop, and DJ Trooper on a Sunday afternoon for the Massive sound and the laid back vibe.

On Negril's West End, close to the downtown roundabout, the Easy Rock Grille and Cyber Cafe is a 24-hour cafe with great food and faxing, emailing, surfing services.  Stop by for breakfast and to read the complimentary morning newspapers provided, or even and early breakfast in the wee hours after an all-nighter-they are there to serve with good food and good vibes!

The Sustainable Development Network Programme is a global catalytic initiative launched by the United Nations Development Programme...the need for improved information dissemination to support sustainable development. The programme is geared towards facilitating communication between users and suppliers of sustainable development information in developing countries.  LONG OVERDUE IN JAMAICA!

This link will take you to a page that explains PALS-a wonderful joint effort of several Jamaican organizations to educate the populace about violence and aggression, and how to avoid turning to that means to an end, instead favoring peaceful conflict resolution.  The main page of the site is also a great service by Jamaicans for Jamaicans, where those living outside Jamaica, or foreigners, can purchase items online and have them delivered to persons in residing in Jamaica.  Markup seems to be very reasonable and saves duty and shipping hassles for sure.
